STEM Guided Pathway Program

Guided Pathways Logo

Program Description

STEM encompasses Cuyamaca's disciplines of Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, Physics, Earth Science, Computer Science, Math, Astronomy and related disciplines. We are a relatively small department with AMAZING students!

Now supported with grant funding from the US Department of Education, we are able to provide specialized STEM counseling, lots of STEM events, workshops, field trips, games and extra tutoring to our students. Beginning with a small group of student members, our STEM Guided Pathway Program will continue to grow throughout the coming years!

Each student in this select group meets monthly with his or her own faculty and peer mentors, gets early registration, and may qualify to take part in a specialized summer research experience funded by the grant, among other opportunities.

Funding for this program extends through to 2021! If you are interested in becoming a cohort student in this welcoming STEM based support program, please visit the back area of the STEM Center in the H-Building to find information and applications for the program. Click here to learn more.

This program is made possible by funding from the U.S. Department of Education, Hispanic-Serving Institutions Division, Title III Grant Award #P031S160149.
