Next Up Program Overview

The Cooperating Agencies Foster Youth Educational Support (CAFYES currently called Next UP) program is a supplemental component of the Extended Opportunity Programs and Services (EOPS) program. Next Up is designed to support the educational goals and well-being of current and former foster youth.  The goal is to provide ‘over and above’ supportive services to help former foster youth overcome the extra obstacles that may be holding them back from the pursuit of higher education through the completion of a certificate, degree or transfer.

CAFYES was authorized by Chapter 771, Statute of 2014.
