Financial Aid Student Guide

This student guide is designed to help you understand what financial aid may be available to you and what you can do so that you may receive that financial aid. When to Apply for Aid - Important Dates

August 21, 2017 (First day of the fall semester)
First day to apply for an Emergency Book Loan.
September 2, 2017
Cal Grant deadline for Community College students for the 2016-2017 Competitive Cal Grant.
September 5, 2017

Applying for financial aid for the 2018-2019 year. Apply online at
December 1, 2017
Deadline to submit student loan application for fall only students
January 29, 2018 (First day of the spring semester)
First day to apply for an Emergency Book Loan
February 12, 2018
Spring Census Date
March 2, 2018
Deadline date for new Cal Grant applicants to have their GPA submitted electronically by their high school or student to provide verification of GPA for 2018-2019 to the California Student Aid Commission (CSAC). FAFSA application must also be completed by this date in order to be considered for the Cal grant.
May 25, 2018
Deadline to submit student loan application for spring or full year students
June 30, 2018
Last Day to submit a valid 2017-2018 FAFSA, or Student Aid Report (SAR) 
July 09, 2018
(or last day of enrollment, whichever comes first)
Deadline to complete your 2017-2018 financial aid file
