Earn College Credit While Still in High School!

Tech Prep is an important school-to-work transition strategy, helping high school students make the connection between school, college and employment.

Tech Prep is funded though the Carl D. Perkins Vocational and Technical Education Act, and is a significant innovation in the education reform movement in the United States.

Tech Prep education is an articulated, planned sequence of study beginning in high school, and extending through at least two years of postsecondary education.  Programs can continue up to the Baccalaureate degree.

Tech Prep programs are offered at both Cuyamaca and Grossmont Colleges.  See the GCCCD Tech Prep link for details about course articulation and how to apply for college credit, or download a pdf version of the Cuyamaca Tech Prep Articulation.
