Feel free to bring your coupons to class for a trading session. This workshop is taught by a consultant who has used coupons to save thousands and has many couponing secrets.

Wilderness Remote First Aid

Fee: $125

Learn the knowledge and skills to respond to and care for common illnesses and injuries in remote areas where emergency medical services (EMS) is more than thirty minutes away. This course is taught according to American Red Cross standards and results in a 2 year Wilderness and Remote First Aid Certificate from the American Red Cross, which is a certification higher than Basic First Aid. This course is ideal for campers, hikers, mountain bikers, and people working in disasters and rural settings. Prerequisite: Adult CPR with AED.

The Art and Science of Wildlife Tracking

Fee: $140

Would you like to become a nature detective? As A wildlife tracker, you will piece together clues from the landscape to gain the larger picture.  Reading the signs like a story, you can see who has been there and what they have been up to by learning their behaviors and secrets.  This unique skill in studying wildlife can be both fun and rewarding, giving a greater sense of place in your own environment.  From barn owl pellets to mountain lion tracks, from the coast to the mountains, we will cover it all.  Come join us in this fun and exciting course, where much of your time will be spent in the great outdoors. 

*Note: Student will meet off campus at various wildlife reserve locations around San Diego County and must have reliable transportation.
