Teaching with Blackboard Online Course This web page will introduce you to the self-paced online course called Teaching with Blackboard. You can work through this course at any time. You don't have to take the whole course; you can just review the parts that interest you.
Blackboard Container Preparation This web page explains all the things you need to do to get started with preparing a container in Blackboard for your courses.
Request a Development Container This tutorial will show faculty how to request a container for course development purposes.
Copy a Blackboard Container This tutorial will show you how to copy one Blackboard container to another. This can be useful at the beginning of the semester when you copy your old Blackboard class information into the new section container.
Import Blackboard Template The Blackboard Template for Cuyamaca College provides a model of how to organize a course for teaching with Blackboard. It has many resources to help you get started preparing a course in Blackboard.
Recycle (Erase) a Blackboard Container These steps will show you how to wipe a container clean, leaving no content or menu items in it, so that you can use it for another class or project. This will erase everything in the container.
How to Log In to Blackboard for Students This tutorial will show students how to log in to Blackboard to access their online class material.
Course Availability Students cannot see your course until you make it available. This tutorial will show you how to make it available.

Make PDF Files How to install the PDF add-in for Microsoft Office 2007. This will allow you to create PDF files of your documents from Microsoft Word, Excel, or PowerPoint. PDF documents can be viewed by all students without the need for them to purchase Microsoft products.
Change Course Banner This tutorial will show you the steps to take to change the banner that appears at the top of the announcements in a Blackboard course.
Creating an Assignment You will learn how to create a Blackboard Assignment in this video. The Assignments tool allows students to turn in files to the instructor and allows the instructor to retrieve these files, grade them, and return them to the students with additional feedback. This tool can be used instead of sending papers or other files as email attachments or using the Drop Box.
Submitting an Assignment This video will show the process by which a student will submit an assignment. Faculty can link to this video from their courses to provide instructions for students.

Convert a Word Document to a Blackboard Test BYU Idaho has created a tool that allows you to copy and paste a properly formatted Word document into their program. Their program then generates a text file that can be uploaded into the Blackboard Pool Manager. Thanks BYU Idaho!
