Barry Ayers has worked in various capacities for the City of San Diego for 26 years. He began his career in 1989 as a diver, moving to Water Treatment Plant Operator in 1992. In 1996, he was selected as a Research Operator in the early years of the City's Advanced Water Purification studies. Barry's current role at the City is the Wastewater Operations Superintendent at the Metropolitan Biosolids Center. With Barry's wealth of experience in both water and wastewater, he is the ideal instructor for the Water Reclamation and Reuse course.
Barry holds a California State Water Resources Control Board Grade 5 Wastewater Plant Operator certificate, a California Department of Public Health Grade 4 Water Treatment Plant Operator certificate, and a California Department of Public Health Grade 3 Water Distribution System Operator certificate. |
