Coach Tim Seaman is excited to be joining the staff at Cuyamaca College as
the new Men's Head Cross Country Coach. Coach Tim's emphasis will not only
be on continuing the success of the students in their athletic endeavors,
but also giving them the tools they need to excel in the classroom.

Before joining Cuyamaca, Coach Tim has been coaching some of the best and
brightest race walkers in America for the past six years. His athletes have
obtained numerous titles, including Junior American records in the 1-mile,
5,000m, 10km and 20km. Most recently three of his athletes took home gold
at the USATF Outdoor Sr./Jr. Nationals.

As an athlete, Coach Tim has amassed a variety of accolades, including two
Olympic Team berths, 12 American Records, 43 US National Championships, and
4 Collegiate National Championships. Coach Tim also ran cross country in
college and competed in the mile and two-mile in high school. He was a 1995
graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Parkside where he obtained his
Bachelors Degree, and a 2002 Graduate of the University of San Diego where
he obtained his Masters Degree while training for the 2000 Olympic Team. He
understands the rigors that student-athletes face and he hopes to infuse the
program with enthusiasm, and a belief that they can excel.

In October 2010, he was inducted into the University of Wisconsin - Parkside Hall of Fame.

Coach Tim has also co-authored four books in the past year, with the most
recent one entitled,

Race Walk Faster by Training Smarter.
