Join PTK

 

The Phi Theta Kappa chapter on this campus, Alpha Pi Omicron, invites you to become a member in an international honor society for community colleges.

 

Eligibility for PTK Membership

• Completion of 12 college units (this may include AP/IB units, Grossmont, and other college units) with a 3.5 or higher GPA. 

How to Join PTK

You will get a letter from PTK Nationals if you are eligible to join.

• Go to the website at ptk.org.
• Click the gold “Join” button in the top left of the screen.
• Enter the email address in which you received the invitation.
• Complete the membership application and pay the one-time fee.

Benefits of PTK Membership

Membership is a special honor offered to a small group of outstanding students. Membership  provides exclusive access to resources and benefits including a listing of scholarships designated exclusively for Phi Theta Kappa members, letters of recommendation for scholarships and employment, recruitment to prestigious colleges and universities, campus recognition, leadership, networking and volunteer opportunities.

 

As a member, your academic excellence will be recognized with the Golden Key Membership Pin, membership certificate and identification card, and notation of membership on your transcripts and at commencement.
