World Languages

¡Hola! MarHaban! Welcome to the World Languages Department at Cuyamaca College!

Our goal is to prepare you with the skills needed to succeed in a global society.  Through the study of  languages and their culture, you will gain better understanding of the cultures of others and your own. Knowing more than one language will prepare you to compete in the local, national, and international job market.

Courses

The World Language Department offers courses in Aramaic, Arabic, and Spanish. These courses are designed to provide students with skills in understanding, spaking, reading, and writing the language of study. They also give students a greater understanding of the culture and traditions of the language of study.

Most courses satisfy General Education requirements for Community Colleges (Cuyamaca College) and Universities (California State University, University of California, etc.) and are fully transferable to any California Community College or University within the University of California or California State University system as well as other four-year institutions.
