Technology Requests

 

FALL - REQUEST IN PROGRAM REVIEW.  Technology requests are submitted to the College Technology Committee (CTC) in Fall using the Program Review Technology Request form available on the Program Review website as part of the annual Program Review process. 

SPRING - RANKING.  CTC ranks the requests in spring using the CC Technology Projects Prioritization Rubric.  Ranked requests are shared with the Cuyamaca College Council and posted on this website.  The committee chairs contact those who submitted the requests to let them know the results of the rankings and relevant feedback.

FUNDING AND PURCHASING.  Purchasing usually takes place 6-12 months after the request and depends on funding and order of ranking.  Once funds are available, the requester is notified about next steps.  Requests already funded can be purchased as soon as they are ranked in coordination with the Instructional Computer Facilities Supervisor to ensure adherence to district standards.

OFF CYCLE REQUESTS.  Requests that are not part of the normal program review cycle require the Off-Cycle Tech Project Request Form.  Please see Cuyamaca College Technology Processes Defined for more detail.

REQUESTS REQUIRING IT SUPPORT.  Requests that require district IT support (for example,  data integration) are forwarded to the Technology Operations Group (TOG) for discussion and prioritization. Note that these kinds of requests tend to move forward slowly.
