Hi, I’m Dr. Cindy Morrin — a clinical psychologist, professor, and passionate advocate
for student growth and success. I bring over 25 years of experience in education,
counseling, and leadership to my work here at Cuyamaca College, where I strive to
create inclusive and empowering learning environments for all students.
My teaching philosophy is the belief that all students can be successful and find
their passion. My goal for this course is to empower you with tools and resources
to overcome barriers and roadblocks you may have faced or will face along your educational
and career journey. I encourage your contribution to our campus community in seeking effective change, social justice and anti-racism thinking and behavior. My purpose
is to help you become aware of your talents, skills and values to become lifelong learners who seek truth and justice through your education, career, and lifelong success!
Our campus is committed to maintaining a welcoming, safe, and inclusive environment where every student, regardless of immigration status, is supported in their educational journey. We recognize that the current political climate may cause uncertainty and anxiety. Please know that regardless of these challenges, you are a valued and essential part of our academic community. We encourage you to take full advantage of the resources available to you on campus, including but not limited to counseling, legal assistance, financial support, and more. The Dreamers Resource Center and other support networks on our campus are available to assist with any concerns you may have during this time. Diversity and Inclusion are an integral part of Cuyamaca College's mission statement.
"Devote yourself to your community around you and devote yourself to creating something that gives you purpose and meaning." - Mitch Albom
