The Veterans Center is committed to providing resources to help veterans and military affiliated students and their families in all aspects of life. If you are in need of a resource that is not currently listed, please contact us at cuyamaca.veterans@gcccd.edu for assistance.

 

Financial Resources: Find community resources for veterans regarding financial support, financial planning, financial hardship assistance, emergency funds, and scholarships.

 

Housing Resources: Find community resources for veterans who are looking for assistance with housing. Assistance includes veteran homelessness services, low-income housing, emergency rent assistance, utility assistance, and homelessness prevention.

 

Legal Resources: Find community resources as well as national organizations who specialize in legal services for veterans. Pro bono or low cost services include, but are not limited to, Compensation and Pension/Disability disputes, criminal defense representation, family legal services, property law, Drug Court, cases of MST, and war-related issues.

 

Employment Resources: Find community resources as well as national organizations who specialize in finding veterans the right employment through job hunting, interview coaching and resume building. Here you will also find a job board for local job announcements which is updated monthly.

 

Children and Youth Resources: Find resources on childcare assistance for veterans and service members. Resources also include activities, apps and resources for children and teens, mental health resources for families and resources for new parents.

 

MST and Sexual Assault Resources: Find resources on how to cope with trauma and resources for supporters of survivors. Find resources on how to overturn discharge designations, apply for VA disability and mental health services. If you are not interested in VA services, find community resources that are not military-centered.
