Commencement Ceremony Details

Check-in for graduates will take place at 4:00 pm at the Student Center, I-207

(2nd Floor, Student Center).

Please bring a photo ID to check-in

 

Graduates will be walked down to the ceremony after the check-in process is complete.

 

Ceremony Parking

Graduates and guests can park in any student space, and you don’t need a permit.

Graduation Cap and Gown Information

 

When and where can I get my cap, gown, and graduation accessories?

All candidates who wish to participate in the commencement ceremony shall wear full academic regalia, consisting of a traditional black gown with and a mortarboard with the blue and brown tassel.

 

Official Cuyamaca College graduation accessories may be purchased at the Cuyamaca College Bookstore starting in mid-May. Bookstore hours are Monday thru Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

 

  • Cap, Gown, & Tassel: $45.00
  • Tassel Only: $7.00
  • Honors Cords*: $15.00

*Students meeting honors requirements are identified on the cap and gown list in the Cuyamaca College Bookstore.


Receiving your diploma

 

Diplomas for Spring 2023 graduates are expected to be mailed in early July 2023 to the student’s mailing address indicated on the graduation application at the time it was submitted - therefore it is very important that your address is correct. (Summer 2022 and Fall 2022 diplomas were previously mailed at the completion of each term).

 

  • If you would like to submit a new mailing address for your diploma to be mailed, please send an email to your graduation evaluator with your full name, student ID, and complete mailing address no later than June 1, 2023:
  • If you would prefer to pick up your diploma in-person on campus, July 2023 or later, please send a request to your graduation evaluator, listed above, no later than June 1, 2023, to hold your diploma once it has been printed.
