Transfer Admission Criteria SDSU accepts transfer applications only from upper-division transfer or readmission
applicants who will have completed 60 or more transferable semester (or 90 or more
quarter) units.
SDSU Microsite Degree Completion Programs San Diego students can now get a San Diego State University bachelor’s degree without
having to set foot on an SDSU campus through partnerships with local community colleges
throughout San Diego County.
Minimum Transfer Requirements Due to limited spaces in all majors and programs, upper-division transfer applicants exceedingthe minimum requirements will receive admission priority for available spaces.
CSU General Education (GE)-Breadth You must complete a General Education pattern and complete it prior to transferring
to SDSU.You must also complete a minimum of 60 transferable units to include general education
and major preparation courses.
Major Preparation Courses SDSU requires that students complete all lower division major preparation courses
prior to transferring. Consult a Cuyamaca Counselor for further information.
SDSU Admissions Data Admission data includes information on the number of applications received by SDSU,
the number of applications submitted to each major, and more.
SDSU Supplemental Application The Supplemental Application is available on student's SDSU WebPortal account. It
is a secondary application that gathers essential information necessary for admission
decisions. It is a required application for admission. The admission is based on the information provided on
both the Cal State Apply and Supplemental Applications.
Steps to Enroll for Admitted Student To accept the offer of admission and reserve a place for the fall semester, student
must complete all steps to enroll.
Admission Appeals Process The appeals process is for applicants who have a serious and compelling reason that
they feel the committee should consider.
