English as a Second Language (Pre-ACP)
The English as a Second Language (ESL) program offers Pre-Academic and Career Pathways that accelerate language acquisition so you can succeed in your selected Academic and Career Pathway at Cuyamaca College.

Each Pre-Academic Pathway also includes prerequisite and introductory courses to prepare you for the rigor of degree-applicable coursework. Combined, these skills will help you successfully pursue degree and certificate programs that use English as the language of instruction.
Pre-Academic and Career Pathways
As you begin your academic journey at Cuyamaca, you’ll explore and eventually select one of eight Academic and Career Pathways (ACPs) that help guide you to the classes that will lead to a degree or certificate. For each Pathway, you can select the ESL Pre-Academic and Career Pathway that aligns with and prepares you for success in the ACP you have selected.
