Welcome CC Graphic Design Alumni

 

I’m glad you’re here. My name is Tom Bugzavich, and it’s my pleasure to welcome you to our vibrant community of designers, creators, and visual thinkers. With more than four decades of experience in visual communication design, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing how design continues to evolve and shape the world around us. After many rewarding years in the profession, I found great purpose in teaching at Cuyamaca College and serving as Chair of the Graphic Design Department, where I’ve had the honor of interacting with students as they discover their creative voice and prepare for meaningful careers in design.

 

Our program has always been rooted in curiosity, collaboration, and the belief that design is both a craft and a way of thinking. We champion innovation and the courage to explore new ideas, understanding that design is about much more than aesthetics — it’s about solving problems, communicating meaning, and inspiring change.

 

To our alumni and future students alike: stay curious, trust your creative instincts, and never stop experimenting. Great design begins with an open mind and a willingness to take risks. Every project is an opportunity to learn, to grow, and to make your mark on the world — and the world needs your ideas, your vision, and your voice.
