How do I recognize hazing?
Hazing happens in many different places and settings both on and off campus. Incidents of hazing can occur in many types of clubs, organizations, and teams, and can take many different forms, spanning a wide range of behaviors that meet the definition of hazing. What is the difference between hazing and bullying?
Bullying typically aims to exclude a person, while hazing is done to test a person's loyalty and willingness to join a group. Hazing is a form of organized bullying that is often a rite of passage intended to create a bond, even though it can involve similar behaviors like humiliation and risk of harm.
