UMOJA is a student success program and commUNITY designed to enhance the educational
experiences of our Black students and provide support for personal, educational, and
professional development. We actively serve and promote student success through a
curriculum and pedagogy responsive to the legacy of the African and African American
Diasporas.

Program Requirements
- Be enrolled as a Cuyamaca College student
- Meet with UMOJA Counselor once a semester and have an Education Plan
- Complete UMOJA Application
- Complete UMOJA Mid Semester Progress Report
- Attend 1 workshop/event per semester

Cuyamaca’s Umoja Summer Bridge is a 3 day long program that helps incoming students
build community, connect with campus resources, and develop the skills and confidence
to thrive in college and beyond.
It takes place Aug. 5th - Aug. 7th from 9am - 12pm at Cuyamaca College. Sign up below!
