Insurance:
The mandatory health fee, which supports the Health and Wellness Center programs,
also provides College Accident Insurance* this is coverage for a student who is injured during a supervised on-campus or school-related activity. Report all accidents and injuries to the health office. Insurance Forms and the
brochure are available at the health office. When filing the college accident insurance,
you also need to fill out the District Injury Illness/Accident Report.
Low Cost Medical Health Insurance Options:
Covered California: Covered California is a free service that connects Californian's with brand-name health insurance under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. For more information, please visit Covered California.
State MediCal: MediCal offers free or low-cost health coverage for California residents who meet eligibility requirements. MediCal uses federal poverty level limits of the current year to determine eligibility for its programs.
Insurance Enrollment Assistance: Certified Enrollment Specialists are available at all of Family Health Centers of San Diego clinic sites to assist patients with insurance enrollment in Medi-Cal or Covered California. For more information, please visit below:
