THRIVE is an employee retention program that works to improve campus culture and climate using data and by promoting equity-minded and anti-racist mindsets; to build community and facilitate networking; to orient employees to their campus; and to provide support, resources, and professional development through a series of workshops and events each semester.

 

THRIVE began at Cuyamaca College in Fall 2022 to advance our strategic goal to increase the retention of diverse employees. This program includes welcome events at the beginning of each semester, as well as wellness events and game nights that are open to Cuyamaca College employees and students.

 

Fall 2026 THRIVE Events:

• August 17: Community Kick-Off Event
• September: Wellness Scavenger Hunt
• October 22: Cuyamaca Block Party
• November 10: VEBA Wellness Event
